ACCOUNTANT

Overview:

Oversee accounts payable ensuring accurate and timely payments by processing invoices, credit cards payments

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounts payable ensuring accurate and timely payments by processing invoices, credit cards payments.

  • Monitor bank accounts, process payments, initiate ACH and wires.

  • Manage accounts receivable by processing and tracking invoices as well as processing deposits, management fees, developer fees and earnest money deposits.

  • Manage investor distributions

  • Manage funds for unit closings/HOA payments

  • Manage bank accounts and banking relationships including opening & managing escrow accounts for projects.

  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate cash flow records.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for projects and the overall company.

  • Process payroll for ZS Dev Corp /ZSD Construction, worker comp, 401K contributions and health insurance monthly payments.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws/regulations and worker's compensation.

  • Provide financial analysis to project managers / draw application.

  • Evaluate opportunities for better utilization of existing software platforms and/or alternative solutions

  • Prepare financial statements - income statements, balance sheets, other reports for mortgage companies.

  • Monitor cash inflows and outflows to ensure adequate liquidity.

  • Monitor metrics such as occupancy rates, rent collection, and operating expenses.

  • Manage accounts receivable and payable.

  • Categorize and track property expenses (maintenance, utilities, etc.).

  • Manage mortgage monthly payments, property taxes and insurance to ensure timely payments and compliance with regulations.

  • Maintain accurate records; Keep detailed financial records for each property including rent roll.

  • Prepare financial reports for tax returns and file corporate, income, and tax returns & 1099s.

  • Manage capital schedules and investor distribution for rental properties.

  • Adhere to tax laws and regulations by making sure that the necessary tax returns are filed.

 

Qualifications:

Must have a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in public and/or corporate accounting. Alternatively, must have a master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent and 3 years of experience in public and/or corporate accounting. Must have a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification. Salary: $108,000 – 110,000 per year. Benefits include medical & dental insurance, PTO, and 401k.
